
- First, open your image and make a copy of it by clicking Edit >> Copy.
Then click Edit >> Paste >> As A New Image.
- Using the image you just created, click Effects >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur and use 5.00 as the radius setting.
- Click Colors >> Colorize and use:
- Hue: 30
- Saturation: 255
Note: If you like, play around with the Hue amount to try out different colors.

- Activate your first image. IF your original image in color, click Colors >> Grey Scale.
Copy, and paste it as a new layer over the blurred and colorized one. You should now not be able to see the blurred image.

- Now, we blend. In the 'Layer Palette' as seen below, click on the 'Blend Mode' and select 'Darken'. Then lower the 'Opacity' to around 80.
